We've just come back from a great vacation, and are now saving up for our next one!

UAE May 2003

We spent a couple of weeks visiting our friend Joyce in Al Ain (in the United Arab Emirates). We did sight-seeing, shopping, camel riding, lots of eating and drinking, and generally had a great time.

Europe May/June 2003

France

First stop was the Le Mans MotoGP, which was soggy but heaps of fun. On the way to the next race (in Italy) we stopped off at lots of wonderful places including the Loire, Sarlat (where Gail wants to live), Lascaux Caves (no photos), Rocamadour, Carcassonne & Avignon. We also did beautiful drives through the Tarn and the mountains (no photos).

Italy

We drove through the mountains into Italy and stopped at Torino, Genova & Parma (where Dave ate lots of cheese and ham) on the way to Bologna. In Bologna, we caught up with Geri & Sergio and toured the Ducati factory. We then headed down the road to the Mugello circuit. Casey Stoner got his first pole!

Spain

On the way to Barcelona we stopped off at the Dali museum (no photos). We then spent a couple of days in Barcelona before heading to the Catalunya circuit. Ant West got his first podium! Ducati got their first win!
